Altre Di B
/
Since their debut in 2011 Altre di B has played hundreds of gigs carrying around a lively and vigorous sound. By claiming the inventiveness of the TV on the Radio and the energy of The Vines as the main sources of inspiration, Altre di B unveils its artistic appetites: to imagine nervous, surprising and jubilant rock songs. Soccer buffs, invited to some of the most prestigious music festivals (Sziget Festival, Primavera Sound, SXSW, Festival Europavox, Mondo NYC, Indie Week Toronto, Ypsigrock) this quartet signs an uninhibited music with a strong euphoric dimension.
“Miranda!”, out on October 2017 (Black Candy Records), is their last concept album and a tribute to the homonym book written by Quirico Filopanti in 1858 which includes the first theory of time zones. As a consequence, the album is all about geography, cultural anthropology, maps and airports. The idea born from the band's experiences such as tours, travels, literature and university studies. The single “Pungi” was launched by the website Post Literate Society, which had previously included Altre di B in its best of SXSW.
In 2014 the band released the video clip "Zoff", a song dedicated to the soccer World Champion and famed Italian goalkeeper Dino Zoff who is also starring in the video. For this reason, Altre di B has been hosted in the Italian TV show "Quelli che il calcio" since 2015.
Every January 6 since 2012 the band performs on a balcony to celebrate the end of Christmas holidays with a DIY performance that gather along the way pedestrians, neighborhoods, curiosity seekers at the window.
Over the years Altre di B has been the opening act of fames international artists such as Eddie Vedder, Glen Hansard, Foals, The Nieghbourhood, Dub Fx, James Walsh, Of Montreal, Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks, Alt-J, Primal Scream, Django Django, Shabazz Palaces, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Frightened rabbit, Pete and the Pirates, Atlas Losing Grip and Damo Suzuki.
